New Games
Well, as far as home consoles go, I completly missed out on this console cycle (PS2, XBOX, Gamecube, etc), and only have a small experince with friend's systems. However, I have recently gotten heavily into PC gaming. MMO's to be precise. Now for those of you who don't know, an MMO is a Massvie Multiplayer Online RPG. You usually have to pay a small monthly fee around $15 to play and access the servers and what not, but for a number games it is very much worth it. I currently have active subscriptions to three games: City of Heros, City of Villains, and Guild Wars. I honestly do not play Guild Wars, seeing as it was not that great of a game, despite it having no monthly fee (the downside is you only get foue character slots). Plus, my machine does not like running it. It goes all funky when I do. But as for CoH and CoV. I love them. CoH was the first MMO I was actually able to get into, becasue it does not require huge numbner crunching and skill leveling in order to play. The concept and powers are quite simple in thier desgin, but challenging enough that both novices and seasoned MMO vetereans will enjoy them. Plus, if you own both CoH and CoV, you only have to pay one monthly fee ($14.99 a month for either CoH/CoV by itself or both together; they also have options to pay by one, three, six, or 12 month increments), and you also get 12 character slots as opposed to the regular eight. The games go well toegther and I have enjoyed them both very much. Since most of my regular gaming friends are quite busy with work and school and family stuff (as am I), it gets hard to organize a table top game, so it is a nice alternative. if you are looking to pick up an MMO and you are new to this type of game, I would suggest City of Heros. However, if you must have your fantasy, then go with World of Warcraft. The game engines are fairly similar, and both are easy to start, and it is also easy to jump from one to the other.

As for new table top games, I was not too excited about the new and changed White Wolf games until I flipped through the new MAGE book at Fun 4 All a few weeks ago. It looks liek most of the chnages are good and I debating cheicking it out. Other than that, I am not really into any new table top games (any more so than I already was).

Happy gaming all!

Welcome and stuff. Not that there is anyone here yet. What do people think of some of the newer games coming out, what about older games? SPEAK!

Welcome to AAG!
Welcome to AAG, post what you want, as long as it's often and somewhat clean. (there will probably be younger folk here, so let's keep it a family show, not a show about making families.)
